Because I don't know how to say "Root Canal" in Welsh.

Ow? No. Annoying? Yes.

I had a root canal done and it was not so bad.

I was so scared I cried, and Debbie the assistant was SOOOOOOO nice. She hugged me. Squee.

I felt better.

Then they put me on gas and I felt even better. It's kind of like being sleepy without going to sleep.

For those who don't know what it's like, you are totally aware of everything that's going on but you don't really care. If you get enough of it, you feel tingly in bits. Mine were my spine and my ears. Weird, huh? Anyway.

Right now I have a temporary filling and an appointment for two weeks out, to get a permanent filling and a crown put on. It shouldn't be that much more painful, and I think I will be less scared now that I have gone to a procedure.

Before this it was zilch. The last time I went to the doctor it was for asthma. I've never broken a bone, lost a tooth, had surgery, had any teeth removed or replaced... so I was flippin' terrified. *sighs* Anyway. It's done, not so bad, and I am eager to have a healthy tooth. Yep, yep.
